My studies are going well and I am predicted four A*s. Over the summer I completed a week of work experience at Arup where I was set the task of proposing a masterplan for a new urban development, setting out buildings, services and roads according to site constraints identified from the geography of the area.
I also designed a water supply and treatment plan and an energy strategy. It was a very enlightening week and I really enjoyed being able to learn more about the sort of tasks that engineers tackle in their everyday work.
