My name David. I’m 16 years old and I currently study maths, physics and biology at St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School. After I complete my A levels, I hope to attend university and study some sort of engineering whilst still having an apprenticeship as an alternative.
I feel as if my subjects interlink quite well, especially maths and physics, as some aspects of both curriculum is needed in the other which is very beneficial and efficient towards me personally. Formulas and a variety of skills are needed in both subjects which also aids me in retaining the information. Biology also helps in learning key techniques and exam skills for my science-based subjects, which will be useful in my Year 13 exams.
I’ve always had an interest in solving problems and finding more efficient ways of completing things, and my choice of A level subjects are evident of it. Fortunately, engineering covers these ideas and therefore seems the most suited for me.
Outside my studies, I’m a sportsperson with expertise in football. I currently play for Chatham Town FC Academy but have been on trials for professional clubs and counties.
I am truly grateful and thankful for Rochester Bridge Trust sponsoring me and granting me this scholarship.
