Are you aiming for A-Level maths? Now is the time to apply for a scholarship
Now is the time for GCSE students to apply for scholarships to benefit from funding and support during their A-Levels or International Baccalaureate studies.
Young people studying maths and either physics or design & technology can benefit from scholarships which provide them with £600 of cash, as well as a range of practical support and activities to support their studies. Their schools will also receive a payment of £400 to put towards STEM education.
Provided by the Rochester Bridge Trust, the scholarships are designed to assist young people who are studying subjects which can lead to a career in civil engineering.
James Miller, Education Officer at the Rochester Bridge Trust, said: “These scholarships are designed to make it easier for teenagers to study subjects that could set them on a path to becoming civil engineers.
“During their two years as scholars, the students will benefit from practical experiences to support their education; introductions to engineers and other scholars to help them in the early stages of building their own network; and money to make it easier for them to buy books or other materials while they study.”
Two different scholarships are currently available, with multiple places on each scheme. Both are free to apply for. More information and an application form can be found at www.rbt.org.uk/scholarships
