The Rochester Bridge Trust is pleased to welcome three new students to its engineering scholarship programme.
Dilan Patel, Henrietta Newble and Jake Leedham are the latest young people to become Rochester Bridge Trust Arkwright Engineering Scholars.
All studying towards their A-levels, the scholars will now have access to additional support and learning activities, provided by the Rochester Bridge Trust.
A welcome lunch was held to introduce the scholars and their families to the activities of the Trust, including a hard hat tour across and within Rochester Bridge.
Caroline Chisholm, Education Manager at the Trust, said: “It was great to meet the scholars and their families and to introduce them to some of our civil engineers while exploring Rochester Bridge.
“These young people show enormous promise as engineers of the future and we are very pleased to be able to support them on their journey.”
During the visit, the scholars were introduced to key members of the Rochester Bridge Trust team, as well as learning about the three structures that comprise Rochester Bridge. They were joined by some of the previous scholars to have been supported by the Trust, who shared presentations of their work as engineers and took time to chat with the new intake.
