Young people of all ages are invited to find out how much fun bridge engineering can be by visiting our stand at the Big Bang Fair South East.
On Wednesday, 28th June, the Rochester Bridge Trust will be at the South of England Showground, Ardingly, where they will be hosting a stand of bridge building activities and information.
Friendly mascot Langdon the Lion – who is a civil engineer and the guardian of Rochester’s bridges – will be posing for photographs and inviting children to take part in a range of bridge building activities, inspired by the Trust’s book Learning about Bridges.
Langdon the Lion said: “The Big Bang Fair is a lot of fun and a great way for me to meet the bridge builders and designers of tomorrow. My team of Education Officers will be answering questions and helping young people understand the potential of a career in civil engineering.
“It’s sure to be a great event – I hope you’re looking forward to it as much as me!”
The Rochester Bridge Trust’s stand will be found, next to the stand for the Institution of Civil Engineers, in Darwin’s Den.
